Gate Charity Launches First Initiative, Donates to Turkish Animal Rights NGO HAÇİKO

We live in a time of rapid technological advancement that enables us, as a global society, to impact the world positively. However, there are many issues to be solved, people to be helped, and lives to be improved. While there’s no single solution to make a perfect world, Gate.io is working to tackle a range of issues to generate positive social impact, and we believe that cryptocurrency and blockchain technology can play a key part in this.
Gate.io is pleased to announce the first charity initiative led by Gate Charity, the non-profit philanthropic organization of Gate.io’s parent company, Gate Group. Recently, the Gate Turkey team presented a donation from Gate Charity to HAÇİKO, an animal rights and welfare organization in Turkey.
Across Turkey, it’s estimated there are hundreds of thousands of stray, neglected, and often forgotten animals across the country. HAÇİKO is a non-governmental organization working to care for these animals and protect their rights through activism, animal shelters, education, and more.
The donation from Gate Charity will go directly to helping protect animal rights, providing shelter and care, and bringing HAÇİKO closer to its goal of leaving no animal uncared for. In addition to the funding support, the Gate Turkey team spent time with HAÇİKO volunteers to provide much-needed socializing and affection for animals in their care.
While this only marks the first philanthropic initiative announced from Gate Charity, there is more to come as we dive into the global blockchain philanthropy movement with the mission to promote a more balanced world. We look forward to uniting more of the crypto community to take action, support important causes, and join us on a journey to tackle some of the world’s most pressing issues.
